All auditions are held at Dare to Dream Theatre, 634 N 10th St Manitowoc.

Audition Requirements

Attend open auditions or register for a 20 minute audition slot
Confirm your scheduled audition slot (click here to check the schedule)

Bring a photo of yourself and your calendar

Read the Audition letter e-mailed to you once your registration is processed.
Fill out the AUDITION FORM (pdf file) All 3 pages must be filled out in addition to the online pre-registration.
Read, sign and return the Actor Contract & Parent Notice (Pdf file)

Check out the Rehearsal Calendar and list all conflicts
Review the Selected songs

Review the selected scenes (all actors able to read will be asked to read at least one of the following scenes with expression. Choose ONE scene to practice in advance of your audition. Speaking parts will be asigned based on the reading of these scenes. If we need to see an actor read for an alternate part, we may ask them to read an alternate scene. If time runs out, we will read alternate scenes at callbacks. Auditionees will NOT read all the scenes listed below.):
WONKA SCENES:
- Willy Wonka (Charlie, Agustus)
- Charlie (Wonka, Grandpa Joe)
- Grandmas, Grandpas, mom & dad (scene 1)
- Mom, dad, charlie, grandparents (scene 2)
- Augustus Gloop
- Mrs. Gloop
- Mike Teavee
- Mrs. Teavee
- Violet Beauregard
- Veruca Salt
- Mrs Beauregard
- Mr. Salt
TREASURE ISLAND SCENES
If you wish to be considered for only one of either Willy Wonka or Treasure Island, you will not have to complete all auditions segments
- Auditions for TREASURE ISLAND consist of:
  - Combat Audition
    - (all actors interested in auditioning for Treasure Island MUST attend the combat audition on March 20 at 11 am)
  - Reading from the script (will be completed either at the combat audition or during the music and dance portions of afternoon auditions)
- Auditions for WILLY WONKA consist of:
  - a simple dance sequence
  - singing
  - reading from the script or basic acting excersize.
