Dare to Dream Stage Families
The Hobbit

Parents and families of the cast have always been Dare to Dream’s strongest support, and their ongoing dedicaton and efforts make Dare to Dream activities possible throughout the year. Without the families, what you see onstage at performances would not be possible.

We require parents to join a stage family based on their skills, interests, and availability for each production their child is involved in. Each activity needs a group of parents working together, focused and organized around that activity. We all depend on each other to maintain Dare to Dream’s reputation for excellence in everything we do and to support the young people who participate throughout the year to make this a successful season.

The Stage Family duties and responsibilities will be on the Stage Family Board as well as posted online.

PARENT PATROL

Parents will be needed at each Orange and Pink Group rehearsal and al performances to help keep the kids occupied during rehearsal or performance.

PROMOTION FAMILY

Posters will  be ready for pick up Early April. 

Please send a list of the places you leave a poster to me as soon as you can. These posters need to be on display by April 15th. 

Initiate word of mouth. Start telling people about the show. The first order of shirts should be in by end of April

Assist with brainstorming and setting up live promotion events 

Help plan and organize live promotion events 

COSTUME/SEWING FAMILY

Each actor will be responsible for some, if not all of their costume peices. All personal costume items must be approved by May 1st.

Check your current Costume status here.

Round Two Costume Approval is May 15th.

Costumes are Due May 20th.

FUNDRAISING FAMILY

Each member of the principal cast has been asked to help gather sponsors/donors. Each actor's goal is $50 in donations.

Please submit names and addresses of possible larger business sponsors or ad sales. Packets are ready for mailing. 

Ad sales sheets will be available from Rachel. 

Sign up lists for Fundraising & event planning committees on the bulliten board on the lower level. Please sign up where you are able to help!

Ad Sales: We need people to go from business to business selling ads in the program. This is another way to help meet budget on this show...and next season. Options are available for one show, or the whole season. Please keep track of who you visit and what they say. We do not want to ask the same business all the time if they say that they can not afford it at this time or do not wish to purchase an ad. Therefore, please submit a list of businesses you intend to visit BEFORE you visit them. It will be made available as soon as possible.
